On Wednesday May 6th, 2009, Sierra Aluminum Company will be holding an open house. The featured activity of this open house,
located at our Fontana Manufacturing Campus, will be the dedication of our new solar electricity generation system. This event
is co-hosted by both Sierra Aluminum Company and Pacific Power Management.
The solar power system is comprised of 4488 photovoltaic panels with the capability to generate a peak power output of
over 800 kilowatts. The framing for this system is made of aluminum extrusions. The extrusions were manufactured by
Sierra Aluminum Company at our Riverside, California extrusion facility. Additionally, the billet for these extrusions
were also manufactured by Sierra and contained at least 40% recycled aluminum.
We understand that many of you who choose to attend this event will be doing so for many different reasons. Some of you are
coming solely to attend the ceremony. Others of you are coming with the idea of not only attending the ceremony but also
seeing some of the manufacturing processes we operate. Toward that end, we are scheduling a series of tours of our main
processes to give you an opportunity to view our main processes. We have also invited many of our valuable vendors to
participate in this event and they will be available to answer any questions you may have. A thorough description of the
itinerary, tour items, and vendors are included on the following pages.
To help us get an accurate idea of how many people are going to attend this event, in addition to letting your
Sierra Aluminum Company representative know if you will be attending, please also RSVP to Sarah Modling at
Pacific Power Management. We request that you do this no later than April 29, 2009. Sarah can be reached at
(530) 887- 1984 ext. 118 or at sarahm@pacpower.biz. If you have any questions or requests for tours or activities
that go outside the scope of the planned itinerary please contact your sales or company representative. We look forward
to seeing you on May 6th.
